Moorhouse Hill Fishings
Coming from the west (M6 Jct 43):
- Proceed east along the A69 towards Brampton for between one and two miles.
- Turn left immediately after the first house on the left hand side after the sign ‘Warwick-on-Eden’; this is signposted Warwick Holme.
- If you cross the river you have gone too far.
Coming from the east (Brampton):
- Cross the river on the A69 at Warwick Bridge and proceed up the hill:
- At the top of the hill turn right between two houses signposted Warwick Holme.
Then…
For Holmegate:
Proceed down this road, go through a wood
after which there is a long straight piece of road. After two fields there
is a track to the right, which leads to the river. The fishing hut is
visible from this track.
For Crosby:
Proceed down this road, go through
a wood and continue until you reach a T junction at the farm, turn right
and continue for half a mile until there is a track to the right beside
two semi-detached cottages. Proceed down the track, over the floodbank
to the river.
